    Evening Jonathan
I started keeping bees in 2014 with black Irish bees and was doing very well until I had a few virgin queens mated with drones in my area. These new queens produced mostly aggressive bees, but could give me any information on how to keep my bees all Black Irish bee. The reason for the email as I would be interested in getting a few of your black queens.what do you think 🤔
    James

    • Best thing you can do is set up as many drone producing colonies as possible with daughters from a pure race queen. Irrespective of what they mate with, the drones produced will be pure race as they are produced from unfertilized eggs. The other possibility is to rear a few queens in mini nucs at an isolated mating site but you will still need to provide drone colonies.

Could you direct me to articles on drone producing colonies on line. It would give me an idea what is involved in producing these drone colonies .Many Thanks Jonathan

  2. Paul Winder says:

A few different beekeeper share looking to introduce some of you queens in their apiarys. If we order 14 can you supply from different hives or would they all be grafted from the same queen?

Would you do a deal and include clipping if 14 ordered?

  3. lorne kavanagh says:

Would anyone have a very early mated queen for sale to save a strong hive, the queen has disappeared or probably died, a last years queen would do to save the hive.
